Church fellowship :- member of local Anglican church but enjoy worship with Christians in any church .
hobbies I enjoy :-
digital photography....especially taking Fergus pics.
driving...passed my driving test in November 2006 aged 56 !
reading.... a variety of different books from my Bible to Dan Brown, with lots in between.The most recent fiction I reading is ' 'The left behind' series by Tim Lahaye and non fiction I am reading 'Baby Watching ' by Desmond Morris which I have read several times over.I am also reading Val Mcdermid's 'Wire in the blood' as I uaually have several books on the go at once I am also dipping into a few others too .
about me :-
I got engaged on my 17th birthday and married on my 18th..39 years ago in October .I have always lived within a few miles of my childhood home and still have friends I went to school with .My time is mainly spent with church activities and minding Fergus our first grandchild.I learned to drive last year and like the freedom it has given me to get around more easily I enjoy being who I am and on the whole am content with what God has given me :though I would like more grand children before I get too old to enjoy minding them :-)
just heard that we will be grand parents again around Christmastime when our eldest son Wayne & Liz 's first baby is born !

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life -- Philippians 2 v14-16......

Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life,

 Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life;

 Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty.

Refrain

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life,

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life.

Christ, the blessed One, gives to all wonderful words of life;

Sinner, list to the loving call, wonderful words of life;

All so freely given, wooing us to heaven.

Refrain

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life,
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life.

Sweetly echo the Gospel call, wonderful words of life;

Offer pardon and peace to all, wonderful words of life;

 Jesus, only Savior, sanctify us forever.

Refrain

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life,
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life.

Blog EntryChurches Together in Driffield Aug 2, '07 6:46 PM
for everyone
This Sunday'Churches together in Driffield'said goodbye to two church leaders ...Lieutenant Lynda Melin is leaving us to retire and two new Captains ,husband and wife,will be taking over the leadership of the Salvation Army Corp .in Driffield based at 125 The Mount . Lynda intends to come back to worship with the many friends that she has ,made in Driffield during the years she has been an officer here .We also said goodbye to  Christian Fellowship minister,Arthur Wood,who is moving to the Cheshire area to take up a new post there .All Saints Church was filled with Christians from all the churches in Driffield for the praise service organised by Churches Together leaders ..and what an amazing time of worship we all joined together in .The Holy Spirit moved among us  as we enjoyed the  selection of songs chosen by each Church minister who introduced and explained their reasons for choosing the song/hymn .I am sure that our singing would be heard by people passing by as we 'raised the roof'with our music and songs .How good it is for us  to meet  with our brothers and sisters in Christ and share such a time of praise ,prayer and worship together  ..a foretaste of Heaven !
                                   ...................................
this song was not part of our worship this week ,but has been a part of my own worship tonight

This little light of mine
I'm going to let it shine

Oh, this little light of mine

I'm going to let it shine

This little light of mine

I'm going to let it shine

Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

Blog EntryWhere I Worship ... copy of reply to Ralph Jul 13, '07 7:10 PM
for everyone
At 'All Saints' we use various song books as well as the modern Anglican hymn books which contain a selection of traditional and modern songs and choruses which includes Taize Community & Graham Kendrick and many more .We are blessed with good leadership and a grand piano as well as a magnificent organ set above the back of church in a gallery .We also have a good sized orchestra with a mix of adults and children that play at several services a month .
I enjoy the variety of our worship and like praise services which give freedom to The Holy Spirit and singing in The Spirit ...it may sound odd to you but one of my favourites is singing the Lord's prayer during the communion service,
Over the years I have shared worship in the Methodist ,Pentecostal and Salvation Army fellowships but my 'spiritual home' is All Saints Church where God called me to Himself and I answered His call. Though I always say I am a Christian who is a member of the Anglican Church !
We also have 'Churches Together In Driffield' which is made up of several mainstream local Churches we meet together to pray and worship around the various Church buildings in town ,this makes for even more variety as the 'host church' usually leads the service ...praise God for the choices we have
well I hope that answers your question Ralph...really I just enjoy singing and praising our Lord in any way,and my neighbours are used to hearing me singing in the shower and around the house ;-D
btw . thank you for asking me ...sorry to be so lengthy ,maybe another time I will share some more :-)
*blessings*

It doesn't make any difference in all the churches you can go, there is One Lord over all. You love the same songs I grew up on and love to sing too. This is what I like about being here is all the same friends.
